Would you like to help prevent climate change through engineering, design, and implementation of low carbon heat network solutions? How about joining a team where your expertise is valued and support our growth in an emerging UK market?
We are offering an opportunity to join an international advisory business supporting the development of heat networks in the UK, a market that is set to grow through the transition from fossil-fuel heating solutions. Greenfield Nordic is particularly active in the planning and development of town/city-scale low carbon heat networks, working for Local Authorities and the UK Government.
We are looking for candidates with drive, enthusiasm and excellent communication and project management skills, underpinned by a strong understanding of energy engineering, particularly around low carbon heat and heat networks. If this is you, then come and talk to us.
Join us and become our newest colleague
As a Project Manager you will be responsible for leading advisory commissions for heat network projects. Tasks would include project co-ordination (planning, budgeting, resourcing) together with supporting or leading on technical analysis/investigation and preparation of project outputs and client/stakeholder liaison. The role will also involve input into sales and marketing activities.
As a growing business, we are looking for talent and will seek to adapt your role to account for your knowledge, skills, experience, and professional interests. As part of a networked business model, the role is intended to be online / home-based but with access to office hubs, where this is helpful or required.
At Greenfield Nordic you will have a unique chance to be involved in the transition of the UK’s energy systems, working with, and drawing on, the insight of the Granlund Group which excels in cutting-edge energy management expertise, world-class simulation/optimisation tools and engineering practice.
We can offer you a dynamic and challenging work environment, opportunities for professional development, a supportive expert team, and competitive benefits. We seek to empower our colleagues, encourage creative thinking, and provide opportunities to guide the direction of our business. If you are looking for a challenging and rewarding, solutions-focused environment then come join us.
Could you be the expert we’re looking for?
Can you demonstrate a strong and relevant education background to a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree level in building services engineering, renewable energy, energy engineering (or similar) along with 5+ years of relevant experience?
We value strong analytical thinking, project management and stakeholder engagement skills, and an ability to work both independently and in concert with a team, largely in an online environment. You should be able to handle multiple projects at the same time and bring good knowledge of building services engineering or renewable energy.
Proficiency with Excel and Project Management tools and processes, and demonstrable communications skills/experience are essential. Proficiency with GIS and energy-related analysis tools, commercial/financial strategy (and business case development), and construction management would also be of value.
We are looking for new colleagues with some relevant work experience, but candidates due to finish studies in 2022 will also be considered where business insights can be demonstrated.
