Would you like to help prevent climate change through engineering, design, and implementation of low carbon heat network solutions? Do you want to work for a company where people enjoy their work and where you can build a meaningful career for yourself?
We are offering an opportunity to join an international advisory business supporting the development of heat networks in the UK, a market that is set to grow through the transition from fossil-fuel heating solutions. Greenfield Nordic is particularly active in the planning and development of town/city-scale low carbon heat networks, working for Local Authorities and the UK Government.
We are looking for candidates with drive, enthusiasm, and good communication skills, underpinned by a strong understanding of energy engineering, particularly around low carbon heat and heat networks.
Is this you? Could you be our Junior Project Engineer?
Join us and become our newest colleague
Initially, the role will focus on data collection, technical analysis, and ‘options appraisal’ for a range of low carbon heat network projects and associated research. The role will provide opportunities for learning, professional and career progression in a range of areas across heat network engineering, development, and project management.
As part of a networked business model, the role is intended to be online / home-based but with access to office hubs, where this is helpful or required.
At Greenfield Nordic you will have a unique chance to be involved in the transition of the UK’s energy systems, working with, and drawing on, the insight of the Granlund Group which excels in cutting-edge energy management expertise, world-class simulation/optimisation tools and engineering practice.
We can offer you a dynamic and challenging work environment, opportunities for professional development, a supportive expert team, and competitive benefits. We seek to empower our colleagues, encourage creative thinking, and provide opportunities to guide the direction of our business. If you are looking for a challenging and rewarding, solutions-focused environment then come join us.
Could you be the expert we’re looking for?
Can you demonstrate a strong and relevant education background to a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree level in building services engineering, renewable energy, energy engineering or similar?
We are looking for new colleagues with some relevant work experience, but candidates due to finish studies in 2022 will also be considered where business insights can be demonstrated.
We value analytical thinking and knowledge of, and interest in, building services engineering or renewable energy. Proficiency with Excel and demonstrable communications skills/experience are essential. Proficiency with GIS and energy-related analysis tools would also be of value.
